Project Overview

I had the opportunity to design the complete visual identity for the Harpswell Lobster Boat Races, a high-energy, community-driven event celebrating Maine’s iconic maritime heritage. Drawing spectators and participants from across the coast, the races are a beloved summer tradition, featuring working lobster boats competing at high speeds in a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere.

Custom Event Logo

Create A custom logo that evokes the power and pride of the local lobstering community, designed for use across both print and merchandise.

Event Posters & Flyers

Created to promote the races across local businesses, harbors, and community boards.

Apparel Designs

Including T-shirts, hats, and hoodies for event staff, racers, and attendees—designed for maximum impact and souvenir appeal.

Environmental Signage

On-site signage and directional graphics to help with event navigation and enhance the overall visual atmosphere on race day

Outcome

The refreshed visual identity helped modernize the event’s branding while staying true to its roots. Merchandise sold out quickly, and the promotional materials contributed to a record turnout. The cohesive design system created a sense of pride and local identity, reinforcing the event’s position as a cornerstone of the Harpswell summer season.
