CAD Drafting

Proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation, I was responsible for producing high-precision 2D and 3D drafting packages that supported a range of civil engineering and infrastructure projects—from conceptual layouts to construction-ready documentation. My work played a critical role in translating engineering intent into clear, buildable plans.

Key responsibilities and capabilities:


Created detailed drawing sets for site development, transportation infrastructure, grading and drainage plans, utility layouts, stormwater systems, and erosion control measures.

Developed complete plan and profile sheets, cross-sections, detail views, and construction phasing diagrams, aligning with local, DOT, and federal agency requirements.

Translated field notes, engineering sketches, and survey data into CAD documentation, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to project specifications.

Integrated GIS data, LiDAR scans, and survey control points into digital base maps for use in public infrastructure projects.

Applied advanced CAD techniques, including dynamic blocks, automated labeling, sheet sets, and layer control, to maintain consistency across large, multi-phase drawing sets.

Produced visual aids and schematic graphics for stakeholder presentations, permitting applications, and community outreach materials.

Special Project: C-130 Aircraft Drawing Digitization


In support of a legacy aerospace modernization effort, I led the conversion of hand-drafted vellum drawings of the C-130 Hercules aircraft into fully digital CAD formats:

Carefully analyzed and re-created original mechanical and structural drawings using AutoCAD, and microstation maintaining dimensional accuracy, lineweight fidelity, and annotation standards.

Digitally restored deteriorating archival drawings, interpreting incomplete or faded areas to produce usable files for engineering analysis, maintenance planning, and documentation.

Coordinated with aerospace engineers and documentation specialists to ensure digital files reflected current system updates while preserving historical accuracy.

Delivered clean, layered DWG files suitable for integration into engineering databases, digital twin systems, and future upgrade design work.
